Thank you for your interest our ministry! At Drawbridge Creations we create manga to bridge the gap between Jesus and Japan. Here’s a brief update about what we’ve been up to the past year and where we’re going in 2026.
Waypoints: Our ongoing web manga series featuring short stories adapted from the biblical Gospels, each story illustrated by a different artist. In 2025, in addition to redesigning the website, we created and posted five new stories, for a total of 28. You can read them all for free.

The Japanese site gets around 50 website visitors per week, but that can jump the hundreds when we do paid promotions on social media, as we did around Christmas time resulting in around 500 visitors in just 3 days. Please pray that people will read and connect with our content and that God will draw them to faith in Christ! We expect Waypoints to continue through 2026, though maybe at a slower pace as we branch out into new projects.
Don’t Give Up! Our second project was released in 2025, in partnership with Christian anti-trafficking organization ZOE Japan. ZOE Japan has produced print versions in both English and Japanese to be distributed as part of their outreach and education work in schools, churches and other places across Japan. The manga can also be read online.

The Story Behind the Story: In September I had the privilege of displaying my work at Gallery Nani in Seto, along with Stephen McCranie (creator of Space Boy). Throughout the month, over 1000 people stopped by, and lots meaningful interactions took place. I was only there in person for the closing weekend, but it was a great experience that encouraged and challenged me to think more about how Drawbridge can reach out in person (not just online).
Nova Nakahiro, Cosmic Courier: I’m also feeling encouraged to put out more of my personal work, so that will be a big part of expanding the work of Drawbridge in the coming year. First up is the comic I shared at the exhibit: “Time and Money.”
You can read Nova’s adventure on my personal website:

While not overtly biblical, it’s my hope that these kinds of stories can be conversation starters helping us build bridges to faith in Jesus Christ, in keeping with the vision for Drawbridge Creations.
Thank you again! Your prayers and support are appreciated!
